Diax IIa (1954)

Like model Ia (1952), but with rangefinder coupled to all Diax lenses with helical focussing.
(no 35mm-viewfinder but additional 85-90mm-viewfinder) Ia’s were occasionally converted to IIa’s by adding a rangefinder in the Diax-factory. These cameras kept the former Ia-body-number in the accessory-shoe (starting with 5xxxx or 6xxxx). If you’d like to use a Diax IIa be sure to find one with a properly adjusted rangefinder – or a skilled mechanic to have it repaired… |
